A CCSR seminar programme funded by ESRC under the 1997 Seminar Competition and with further sponsorship from The Post Office

The overall goal of this seminar programme was to realise a self-sustaining UK research community concerning the social and ethical impact of information and communication technologies (ICT) application. The research community informs practice and policy, contributes on a global stage and responds collectively to research opportunities and requests.

• 16th September 1998 - "The Location and Nature of Work" hosted by Tom Gough and Dr Graeme Gooday at Leeds University
• 13th January 1999 - "Information Provision" hosted by Jackie Rafferty at Southampton University
• 26th May 1999 - "Professional Responsibility" hosted by CCSR at De Montfort University
• 13th October 1999 - "Virtual Education" hosted by Professor Harold Thimbleby at Middlesex University
• 27th January 2000 - "Personal Data: Issues of Ethics and Regulation" hosted by CCSR at De Montfort University
