How to Lay out your Paper

Submission

Two camera ready copies and a WORD file on an IBM compatible disk. Send to Simon Rogerson at CCSR.

Structure

Your paper should:
  • Aim to be less than 10 pages but don't worry if it is a little over.
  • Include a short abstract.
  • Contain an introduction that includes an indication of the structure of the rest of the paper.
  • Acknowledgements should follow the conclusion and precede references.

Layout

Your paper should:
  • be in English or Spanish
  • submitted in 12 point Times font
  • be single spaced
  • be left justified
  • not contain page numbers
  • not contain footnotes
  • use gender-free language

Headings

The following convention should be adopted:
  • THE PAPER TITLE (in 16 point, bold and left justified)
  • By Author (in 16 point, not bold and left justified)
  • 1 Heading - Level One (numbered, in 14 point, bold and left justified)
  • 1.1 Heading - Level Two (numbered, in 12 point, bold and left justified)
  • Heading - Level Three (in 12 point, bold and left justified)
  • No indents to be used

References

References should appear at the end of the paper and the following should be adopted:
  • Referencing within the text should take the form [Name, year]
  • To give an article/paper reference
  • Name, A. and Another, N. (1966), The standards of computing in commerce, Business Ethics Journal, 5, 82-123.
  • To give a book reference
  • East W (ed) (1996), The ethics of new generation IT, McDouglas Publishing.
